Michael Hemphill Opens Season with 30 Point Game; Named Game MVP

Mike Hemphill (2014; Paulding County High / FCI Warriors)

SEBA standout Michael Hemphill (6' 1, PG, 2014) opened his senior season with a bang this past weekend, leading Paulding County to a 88-81 victory over Johnson-Gainsville in the Georgia Tip-Off Classic played at Marietta High. Hemphill scored 30 points, dished out 6 assists, and pulled down 5 rebounds on his way to being named the game's Most Valuable Player. He shot 9 from 15 from the field, including 2 for 3 from three point land. In addition to his offensive production, Michael played his usual stellar on ball defense and took several charges that turned out to be pivotal plays in the Patriot victory. Michael had a very good AAU season while playing for the FCI Warriors this past Spring and Summer. Look for him to have a great Senior Season, and for Paulding County to be a force to reckon with in  Region 5-AAAAA.
