Presley Leads 4th Ranked Hoyas

Jeremy Presely (Harrison, 2012)
SEBA Standout and Harrison High Senior Jeremy Presley (5' 11, PG, 2012) is off to a terrific start for the Hoyas. The Senior Point Guard has been a major factor in Harrison's early success, leading the team in both scoring and assists. The Hoyas are currently 5-1 and ranked as the #4 team in Georgia's Class AAAAA. Their only loss at this point was to National Powerhouse Oak Hill Academy (VA).

Presley has been hitting all on cylinders the past two weeks. In a rout of Stephenson High, Jeremy scored 21 points, where he shot 5 of 6 from three point range. He followed that performance up with an impressive showing, scoring a game high 18 points in 64-57 victory over Norcross in the Nike Explosion held at Kennesaw State University. Presley capped off the impressive stretch with a good showing over rival McEachern. In an extremely physical game which saw four Harrison players foul out; Jeremy hit two clutch free throws with 6 seconds left which proved to be the game winners.

Jeremy has the potential to be a very good lead guard for a school at the next level. Simply put, he knows how to play the game. He has a high skill set and a high basketball IQ. He can shoot the lights out and has extremely deep range. He creates well off the dribble and has a smooth but quick shot release. He is battle tested, and seems to play his best against toughest competition (ie: he averaged 15 ppg and 4 assists per game at 17U AAU Division I Nationals this past July). Off the court, Jeremy is a high achiever with a 3.8 GPA and above average test scores.

Look for Jeremy to continue his strong play and position the Hoyas for a strong Region and State Tournament playoff run!

Jenkins Named GSAC Player of Week

SEBA Alum Jessie Jenkins honored by GSAC

SEBA Alum and Piedmont College Freshman Jessie Jenkins was named the Great South Athletic Conference (GSAC) Player of the Week. The 6' 3 Freshman Guard out Locust Grove High (GA) is Piedmont's team leader in scoring, rebounding and field goal percentage. But during Piedmont's last pair of non-conference games, he performed beyond his average performance.

In Piedmont's recent loss on the road at Oglethorpe University, Jenkins recorded a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds. Three days later, he put on a show in Cave Arena in a blowout win over Free Will Baptist College, dropping 32 points and making it a double-double with another 10 boards.

Jenkins was efficient on his way to 32 points, making the most of every shot opportunity. He made nine of his 10 shots from the field, including draining his only three-point attempt. He also took advantage of his freebies, converting on 13 of 14 shots from the line. All of this comes in just 28 minutes of playing time.

Jenkins' 19.4 points per game and 7.6 boards per game anchor a team that leads the conference in scoring at nearly 83 points per contest.

Congrats Jesse and keep putting in work!!
